"I signed both my husband and myself up for classes with Carmelita.
We were so taken with her knowledge, her organisation skills, her cooking skills and, above all, her warmth. The time we spent with her was so special to us. We ate wonderful food and enjoyed learning about the shopping experience in Italy in an up close, personal way!
Carmelita took us on an excursion to visit a Balsamic Vinegar estate and we were able to taste the unique flavor and texture of 25 year old vinegar that is used sparingly and lovingly to enhance fruit, meat and desserts! While music played in the background, we chopped, peeled, mixed, blended, cooked and ate wonderful new recipes.
The meals were terrific and anyone open to learning will pick up something from this wonderful experience.
Carmelita's knowledge of the city of Bologna enhanced the experience in itself. The shopping excursion is the most colorful you could imagine. Bologna is easily accessible by train and we found unique restaurants and shopping near our hotel. Our hotel experience was quite pleasant and the location was excellent! We enjoyed sightseeing by orienting ourselves with a city tour.
